Gross Heating Value (GHV)

Gross Heating Value (GHV) is the maximum potential energy available in a fuel sample that is the heat generated by the complete combustion of a unit volume of gas including the heat recoveries by condensing the water vapour formed. (Also, called as the Gross Calorific Value (GCV), Higher Calorific Value (HCV) or Higher Heating Value (HHV). (Refer to the Net Heating Value (NHV))
