Inert Complex

Inert Complex is the transition metal complex ion that proceeds slowly or not at all and requires a large activation energy to the ligand substitution, where as complexes proceed quickly reached equilibrium with ligands are the Labile Complex (Reactive). Inert complexes are the kinetically stable compounds with the strong electrostatic force of attraction between metal and ligand. (Opposite of the Labile Complex)
