Inverse Probability

Inverse Probability is an obsolete term for the probability distribution of an unobserved variable that is the posterior distribution, which depends both on the likelihood function and a prior distribution. Bayes, who seems to have first attempted to apply the notion of probability. (Opposite of the Direct Probability)
