Layer of Protection

Layer of Protection is a concept of the device, system, or human actions that provides to reduce the likelihood and/or severity of a specific loss event. The Layer of Protection is the multiple independent and overlapping layers of protection in depth. (e.g., for security system may include various layers of protection such as counter surveillance and intelligence, physical security, and cyber security)
