Line Pack

Line Pack is 1) the inventory of gas in a pipeline, or in a gas distribution system that stores the natural gas in order to meet a peak demand of short duration; 2) a procedure for allowing more gas to enter a pipeline than is being withdrawn, thus increasing the pressure for the effectively creating storage.
