LTIFR (Lost Time Injury Frequency Rate)

The Lost Time Injury Frequency Rate (LTIFR) is the number of lost time injuries occurred during the reporting period that gives a picture of how safe a workplace is for its workers. In many countries, the figure is typically calculated per 1,000,000 hours worked. A LTIFR is considered a lagging indicator, as the results are more meaningful when measured across a large group of workers.

Reference Definition by OSHA: Lost Time Injury Frequency Rate (LTIFR) is the rates are an occurrence of a Lost Time Injury over a period time per 1,000,000 or 100,000 or some other number of working hours in that period (200,000 working hours in the U.S).
