Manufacturing Engineering Laboratory (MEL) is initiating a new long-term strategic program in nano-manufacturing to conduct research and development and provide the measurements and standards needed by industry to measure, manipulate and manufacture nanoscale discrete part products. The MEL's strategy is to focus on the technical challenges of advanced manufacturing technology and the design and operation of integrated systems for the production of high-quality, economically competitive products.
