Moral Hazard

Moral Hazard describes behaviour when one party is involved in a risky event knowing that it is protected against the risk and the other party will incur the cost because some people might ignore the moral implications of their decisions instead of doing what is right. The concept of moral hazard comes from the insurance industry who is a way to transfer risk to somebody else.
