Nanotechnology (shortened to nanotech) is the science, engineering, and technology with dimensions and tolerances of the nanometre scale (e.g., 1 to 100 nm (nanometres)) that is utilised in the design, characterisation, production and application of materials, structures, devices and systems. The Nanotechnology is the use of matter on an atomic, molecular, and supramolecular scale for industrial purposes, National Nanotechnology Initiative defines the nanotechnology as the manipulation of matter with at least one dimension sized from 1 to 100 nm.
