National Geodetic Vertical Datum (NGVD)

National Geodetic Vertical Datum (NGVD) is a vertical control datum in the United States by the general adjustment of 1929 that is previously used by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) for the determination of flood elevations. FEMA current uses the North American Vertical Datum Plane.
