Natural Gas Vehicle (NGV)

A Natural Gas Vehicle (NGV) is a motorised vehicle powered by compressed natural gas (CNG) or liquefied natural gas (LNG) that is an alternative fuel vehicle for autonomous mobility. Types of NGVs (Natural Gas Vehicles): Dedicated Natural Gas (NG) only; Bi-fuel (two separate fuelling systems, Natural Gas or Gasoline; Dual-fuel (run on natural gas, and use diesel fuel for ignition assistance). The use of Natural Gas as a fuel for vehicles gives several advantages over traditional gasoline or diesel fuels, however, one of the primary challenges is the lack of infrastructure for refuelling.
