Nominal Group Technique (NGT)

Nominal Group Technique (NGT) is a formal, structured brainstorming process used to obtain the maximum possible ranked input from a variety of viewpoints in a short period of time. A NGT is a group process involving problem identification, solution generation, and decision making that encourages contributions from everyone and facilitates quick agreement on the relative importance of issues. Once team members are ready, everyone presents their favourite idea, and the suggestions are then discussed and prioritised by the entire group using a point system.
