Phytochemical

Phytochemical is the plant-based bioactive compounds produced by plants for their protection, generally to help them resist fungi, bacteria and plant virus infections, and also consumption by insects and other animals. The Phytochemicals are involved in specific biological activities, and they are the natural bioactive substances which are derived from phytonutrients (i.e., plant foods). The Phytochemicals are used as functional food, soft drinks, and many other food items, which are having good nutrient value and significant importance, economically.
