Private Equity Fund (PEF)

Private Equity Fund (PEF) is a collective and flexible investment scheme that is considered an alternative investment class with a closed-end fund. A PEF is used for making investments in various equity securities according to one of the investment strategies associated with private equity in private companies or public companies. A PEF allows the high net worth individuals and variety of institutions to directly invest in and acquire equity ownership in companies, generally divests its holdings through a number of options, including initial public offering (IPOs) or sales to other private equity firms.
