Risk Management Program (RMP) Rule

The Risk Management Program (RMP) Rule is the EPA’s accidental release prevention rule, used for the extremely hazardous substances handling facilities to develop a risk management plan. The RPM Rule requires: identifies the potential effects of a chemical accident; identifies steps the facility is taking to prevent an accident; spells out emergency response procedures should an accident occurs, to prepare and implement a risk management plan.
