Robinhood Effect

The Robinhood Effect is an economic phenomenon where income is redistributed so that economic inequality is reduced. This could be affected through taxes on the wealthy, or other redistributive means. The effect is named after Robinhood, said to have stolen from the rich to give to the poor. A reverse Robinhood effect occurs when the better-off gain at the expense of the less well-off.
