R:P Ratio

A R:P Ratio is the Reserves vs. Production Ratio is the number of years that current reserves would last at current production levels. Thus reserves of 100 divided by consumption of 20/year gives an R:P ratio of 5, and implies a life of 5 years for the reserve. (Source: Gas Strategies)
