Sewage Treatment Plant

A Sewage Treatment Plant is a type of wastewater treatment which aims to remove contaminants from sewage to produce an effluent that is suitable for discharge to the surrounding environment or an intended reuse application. The Sewage Treatment Plant removes materials that damage water quality and threaten public health and safety when discharged into receiving streams or bodies of water. Most facilities employ a combination of mechanical removal steps and bacterial decomposition to achieve the desired results.
