Sinkhole

A Sinkhole is a large hole in the ground opened suddenly that is a depression in the Earth’s surface caused by dissolving of underlying limestone, salt, or gypsum. The Sinkhole can be made by drainage system providing through underground channels that may be enlarged by the collapse of the surface layer. Sinkholes vary in size from 1 to 600 metres both in diameter and depth, the deepest sinkhole is 700 metres deep and 2,000 metres wide.
