A Stirling Engine is a heat engine of the reciprocating (piston) that operates by cyclic compression and expansion of air or other gas at different temperatures where the working gas and a heat source are independent. The Stirling Engine works on the principle of the thermodynamic cycle known as the Stirling cycle (Isothermal compression, Constant-volume regeneration, Isothermal expansion, and Constant-volume cooling) that consists of a closed system containing a fixed amount of gas, typically air, sealed within the engine.
