TCE, tce (Tonne of Coal Equivalent)

The Tonne of Coal Equivalent (TCE, tce) is the unit of energy that is generated by burning one metric ton of coal. The TCE is a value of approximately 27 MMBtu or 29.39 GJ, equivalent to burning 5.2 bbls (700 kGs) of oil, 890 m^3 of natural gas. (Refer to the TOE, toe (Tonne of Oil Equivalent))
