Technetium (Tc) is a chemical element with atomic number (Z) 43, group 7, period 5, and atomic mass number 97. The Technetium (Tc) is a silvery-gray metal that tarnishes slowly in moist air, and the most useful isotope of technetium is technetium-99m that has a short half-life and binds chemically to many biologically active molecules, used for many medical radioactive isotope tests.
