TNT Equivalence Model

A TNT Equivalence Model is a model of explosion characteristics relating vapor cloud explosions to the explosion of an equivalent mass of TNT (trinitrotoluene). A ton of TNT means a unit of energy defined by that convention to be 4.184 gigajoules, which is the approximate energy released in the detonation of a metric ton of TNT.
