Toxicology is the branch of science (biology, chemistry, and medicine or pharmacology) concerned with the nature, effect, and detection of poisons that studies how natural or man-made poisons cause undesirable effects in living organisms. Toxicology includes environmental agents and chemical compounds found in nature, as well as man-made products that are synthesized for medical use by humans.
