Alpha Particle (Symbol α, or Alpha Radiation)

Alpha Particle (Symbol α, or Alpha Radiation) is a positively charged particle emitted from the nucleus of an atom during radioactive decay. Alpha Particles are not dangerous to plants, animals or people unless the alpha-emitting substance has entered the body.
