Backward Pass

A Backward Pass in the project schedule management is a technique used to calculate late finish dates and late start dates for the uncompleted portions of all network activities. The Backward Pass identifies a late start and late finish values to calculate the overall project duration and eventually find the critical path that determines the latest possible start time (LS) for each activity without delaying the project's overall completion. (Refer to the Forward Pass and Backward Pass)
