Base

Base is 1) a chemical substance that can react with acids and neutralise them to make a salt and water are called bases that is usually metal oxide or metal hydroxide. Bases have a pH of more than 7; 2) a number or magnitude used as a standard of reference; 3) a lowest or bottom part or edge of something.
