Burning Velocity

Burning Velocity is the speed at which a flame front propagates relative to the unburned gas that differs from the flame speed. A Laminar Burning Velocity is a fundamental measurement describing how a planar (Laminar) flame propagates into quiescent unburned mixture ahead of the flame at a specified.
