Heat Index (HI)

The Heat Index (HI) (or Apparent Temperature) is an index that combines air temperature and relative humidity in an attempt to determine the human-perceived equivalent temperature. There is direct relationship between the air temperature and relative humidity, and the meaning as the air temperature and relative humidity increase (decrease), the heat index increases (decreases). (e.g., when the temperature is 32°C with 70% relative humidity, the heat index is 41°C)
