Health Related Quality of Life (HRQOL)

Health Related Quality of Life (HRQOL) is the impact of health on a person’s ability to live a fulfilling life that is a multi functional concepts including domains related to physical, mental, emotional, and social functioning. A HRQOL is an individual’s satisfaction or happiness with domains of life insofar as they affect or are affected by health in which the way health is empirically estimated to affect QOL (Quality of Life) to only signify the utility associated with a health state.

On the community level, HRQOL includes resources, conditions, policies, and practices that influence a population’s health perceptions and functional status.
