Ecological Footprint

An Ecological Footprint is the human demand on natural capital that measures how much nature we have and how much nature we use. The Ecological Footprint is the impact of human activities measured in terms of the quantity of nature to support people or an economy (e.g., area of biologically productive land and water) that is required for the support either of humankind’s current lifestyle or the consumption pattern of a particular population.
