Electrical Appliance Class

An Electrical Appliance Class is a basic safety publication intended to be a guideline for technical committees for the In-Service Inspection and Testing (PAT: Portable Appliance Testing) of Electrical Equipment defined in IEC 61140 that is routinely checked for safety to ensure they are safe to use, and different tests are carried out depending on the class of equipment. The type of the electrical appliance is portable; movable; stationary, and IT appliances.
