Energy Affordability

Energy Affordability provides an indication of energy burden which is the percentage of household income spent on energy bills that generally defines as the share the energy utilities costs of a household's income. The primary effect of energy unaffordability is a home that does not supply basic comfort. Energy efficiency can offer a long-term solution to high energy burdens that helps households reduce their energy usage with measures such as heating and cooling system upgrades, insulation, efficient appliances, and behavior change.
