Energy Performance Certificate (EPC)

Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) is the energy efficiency rating that is the measure of the overall energy using efficiency of the properties. An EPC is placed on a colour-coded scale from A (very efficient) to G (inefficient), and state what the energy efficiency rating could be improved, and highlights cost effective ways to achieve a better rating. An EPC shows the amount of energy used per m²; and the level of carbon dioxide emissions (given in tonnes per year), and is valid for 10 years from when issued.
