Extreme Climatic Event (ECE)

An Extreme Climatic Event (ECE) is a disproportionate effect on the ecosystem as an occurrence in which a statistically rare or unusual climatic period alters ecosystem structure or function typically or normally. The evidences of ECE exists that certain extreme weather and climate events, especially daily temperature, and precipitation extremes, have changed in regard to intensity and frequency over recent decades linked to human-induced climate changes with the individual impact of ECE is more difficult to quantify.
