Flerovium (Fl) is a artificially produced chemical element with atomic number (Z) 114, group 14, period 7, and atomic mass number 289. In June 2011, the discovery of element 114 was recognized by the International Union of Pure and Applied Chemistry (IUPAC) and the International Union of Pure and Applied Physics (IUPAP).
