A Functional Organisation (Organization) is the most commonly used of the organisational structure in the production industries. The Functional Organisation structure is divided roles and functions by the division or department, such as project management, engineering, procurement, construction, and project controls. The Functional Organisation is normally applied for a small size of project. An advantage of the Functional Organisation will be a specialisation, efficiency, and productivity, but disadvantage will be a lack of team-work and difficult management control.
