Lethal Concentration (LC)

Lethal Concentration (LC) is the value of concentration of a substance being tested which will kill a test subject such as animals that value gives an idea of the relative acute toxicity of an inhalable material. Lethal Concentration 50 (or LC50) means the concentration of a material in air or the concentration of a chemical in water that will kill 50% of the test subject.
