An Organic Solar Cell (OSC) is a type of photovoltaic (PV) that is one of the emerging photovoltaic (PV) technologies and classified as third-generation solar cells with organic polymer material for light absorption and charge transport to produce electricity from sunlight by the photovoltaic effect. The OSC technology has the theoretical potential to provide electricity at a lower cost than first- and second-generation solar technologies and can be used to create coloured or transparent OSC devices for the building integrated PV market.
