Plutonium (Pu)

Plutonium (Pu) is a transuranic radioactive chemical element with atomic number (Z) 94, group n/a, period 7, and atomic mass number 244. The Plutonium (Pu) is a silvery appearance and takes on a yellow tarnish when slightly oxidized that is chemically reactive and a relatively large piece of plutonium is warm to the touch because of the energy given off in alpha decay used in modern nuclear weapons.
