Process Severity

Process Severity is the indication of the degree of impacts that is the development or operation of component applications in a process or system. The Process Severity is the higher effect on the system functionality that will lead to the assignment of higher severity.

Reference Definition by Aiche.org: Process Severity is the indication of the degree of aggressiveness of the process medium on the hardware; aggressiveness would include erosion, stress, corrosion, temperature, blockage, etc. Four categories of severity are used in this book: Clean, General Industry, Moderately Severe, Severe.
