Watthour (Wh)

Watthour (Wh) is an electrical energy unit of measure equal to one watt of power supplied for one hour, and used unit for energy in gas, although its use is not strictly in accordance with an International Standard (SI) system or with IGU preferences. Since 1 Joule = 1 Watt per second; 1 Wh = 3,600 J.

Kilowatt-hour (kWh) is 1 thousand Watt-hours (Wh): 1 kWh = 3,600 kJ = 3.6 MJ; Megawatt-hour (MWh) equals to 1 thousand kWh; Gigawatt-hour (GWh) equals to 1 billion Watthour (Wh).
