WiFi (Wireless Fidelity or Wi-Fi) is a technology for wireless local area networking (WLAN) with devices that uses radio waves to provide wireless high-speed Internet and network connections. Wi-Fi is simply a trademarked phrase that is based on the IEEE 802.11 standards.
