Carbon Dioxide Removal (CDR, or Carbon Removal) is the process of removing carbon dioxide (CO2) from the atmosphere that is an essential strategy in mitigating climate change and achieving global climate targets. There are various CDR techniques available, Direct Air Capture (DAC) coupled to durable storage, soil carbon sequestration, biomass carbon removal and storage, enhanced mineralisation, ocean-based CDR, and afforestation and reforestation, etc. (Also, called as the Negative Emission Technology (NET) or Greenhouse Gas Removal (GGR))
