Voyage Chartering is a chartering agreement between the parties called a charterparty in which the shipowner hires out the use of the vessel to a charterer the vessel, partly or in full, fully equipped, crewed and provided with fuels, lubricant and stocks, etc.: Demise charter, Voyage charter, and Time charter. Payment of Voyage Charters can be done in two methods: on a per-ton basis, or on a lump-sum basis.
